Cities are transforming into smart urban landscapes, where connectivity drives everything from traffic management to public safety. Outdoor access points facilitate a wide array of services in urban settings, such as public Wi-Fi networks that improve access to city services, enhance the visitor experience, provide vital connectivity during public events and mobile data offload. They also enable city managers to deploy smart city technologies, such as traffic sensors, security cameras, and public information displays, all integrated through a robust wireless network.

RUCKUS T670 Key Capabilities

Tri-Band Capability and High Data Rates

The RUCKUS T670 supports two Radio configurations to support different regulatory domains:
  • Tri-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz) for the US and Canada: This configuration supports Wi-Fi 7 simultaneously on 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz frequency bands, with a maximum physical data rate of 9.336 Gbps.
  • Dual-band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) for global use: This setup offers Wi-Fi 7 simultaneously on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands, with a maximum physical data rate of 6.454 Gbps.
Both configurations ensure that users experience Wi-Fi 7 latest features, offering fast and reliable connections regardless of the number of devices or the spectrum they operate on.

Multi-Link Operations

Multi-Link Operations (MLO) uses multiple bands to simultaneously connect AP and user device. Aggregating these discrete links significantly increases throughput, reduces latency, and improves connection reliability delivering:
  • Link Redundancy
  • Link Aggregation
  • Link Selection
By addressing the unique challenges of crowded environments, Wi-Fi 7 and its MLO feature could substantially enhance both operational efficiencies and user experiences in applications like sports stadiums, providing robust, low latency, and high-speed connectivity.

Standard Power Mode in 6 GHz with Automatic Frequency Coordination (AFC) support

  • Standard Power mode* with AFC enables Wi-Fi to use the 6GHz band in the US and Canada without interfering with incumbent devices.
  • Integrated with Comsearch® AFC system which leverages nearly five decades of experience in microwave frequency coordination and expertise with cloud-enabled, data-centric dynamic spectrum management systems, T670 dramatically increases range and performance in the 6GHz band while minimizing interference to incumbent devices.

RUCKUS AI and Advanced Antenna Technologies

Equipped with RUCKUS AI and RUCKUS's patented RF technologies, the T670 delivers exceptional performance and user experience:

  • RUCKUS AI simplifies network management by presenting key information to operators, improving network visibility, speeding up problem solving, meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and providing a seamless user experience.

Together with Wi-Fi 7’s advanced features, RUCKUS AI makes it easier and more cost-effective than ever to deliver amazing digital experiences and scale that experience across services, brands, and locations.
  • BeamFlex antenna technology and PD-MRC are integrated across all frequency bands, enhancing signal direction and reception for improved performance and reduced interference.

Superior Connectivity and Power Options

  • Ethernet Ports: The AP includes a 5Gbps Ethernet backhaul and an additional 1Gbs Ethernet auxiliary port, ensuring high-speed data transfer and efficient network management.
  • Power Supply: Supporting PoE-in on the 5G Ethernet port alongside an external 48V DC power option, the T670 offers versatile installation solutions.

Durable and Adaptable Design

The T670 is built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions:

  • IP-67 Rated: Fully sealed against dust and water ingress.
  • Extreme Temperature Tolerance: Operates between -40 to 65°C, suitable for a wide range of climates.
  • Mounting Options: Includes wall, pole, and strand-mount options to fit different installation needs. It also features an under-seat stadium bracket, becoming the first stadium Wi-Fi 7 purpose-built solution in the market.
